PARTEC
'COMPOSITES TECHNICIAN' APPRENTICESHIP
- The
trade of Composites Technician is new, approved by the State
Government in February, 2000.
- It
is a 3 year Apprenticeship.
- Each
of the three Stages of training toward the trade qualification
involves approximately 30 days at college. This is usually offered
in one or two week blocks.
- If
the prospective apprentice already has some skills in the industry,
the PARTEC Institute will assess these, so that time at college
is reduced.
- The
Stages of training are linked to pay scales in the Rubber and
Plastics Award (State).
- The
cost of the Apprenticeship is subsidised by the State Government.
- The
course of study is a Nationally Recognised Qualification.
